The La Mamounia Hotel is a five-starhotel in Morocco. It faces the Atlas mountains and is at the heart of the old city of Marrakech.[1][2][3]

The hotel was built in 1929 by Henri Prost and Antoine Marchisio on the 15 hectare palace and garden Mohammed ben Abdallah gave to his son Mamoun.[4]

The hotel was a filming location for Alfred Hitchcock's 1956 film The Man Who Knew Too Much, starring James Stewart and Doris Day.[5]
