Canada Post Lettermail Slot
@MedalyFantaisies in Canada, items under 2 cm thick can be sent as oversized lettermail, which won't get mentioned in the parcels part of the site. Outside of Canada, you can use small packet. Don't use Etsy labels because they grossly overcharge for small packet; set up a Solutions for Small Business account to get a discount. Canada Post lettermail rates for overweight lettermail are different. It charges $1.30 for 30g-50g (up to 9 sheets of paper) of weight within Canada, charges $1.94 for 30g-50g (up to 9 sheets of paper) of weight within the U.S, and charges $3.88 for 30g-50g (up to 9 sheets of paper) of weight within international destinations.

Boxes arrived wet, destroyed and horrible experience with customer service

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE - DAMAGED PRODUCTS, no acceptable solution found.
I ordered boxes that arrived all wet and damaged due to terrible storage conditions as the outside box of the shipment was dry and flawless so the issue definitely comes from their warehouse. At less than a month from Xmas, when everyone is back order for the product I need to ship my products in and run my business, Zakka asked me to send back the damaged products while having to wait for them to receive my package and then maybe - if the product is not back order on their end anymore (which it apparently is) - they would resend me an acceptable order. I can’t believe this is what this company has to offer in terms of customer service. I am now in big trouble with my business, I can’t ship all my products and have lost my money and a critical amount of time for my business. I would not encourage you to trust them for your business, too risky and too expensive in the end.A lot thicker than 17 mm

I've had to cut the tabs and sides of each box and refold along alternative lines in order to get these to fold small enough. It's a nightmare.

At 18.5 mm deep when folded, the Slotbox can meet the 20mm depth requirements of 'OTHER' (Non-Standard and Oversize) letter mail, but you are responsible to meet the length, width, weight and content requirements set out by Canada Post. All styles of the Slotboxes must be mailed in a standard paper envelope to qualify as regular post for Canada Post.
NO BUBBLE MAILERS REQUIRED!
When sending within Canada, if the item you are mailing an item not made of paper - ie: a necklace - it is considered 'Other (Non-standard/Oversize)' since it is not paper. It still qualifies as regular post (instead of the expensive parcel rate) but the box must be sent in a basic envelope and will be subject to a postage rate based on weight. 'Other' (Non-standard/Oversize) regular postal rates range from $1.94 - $5.47 based on weight up to 500g. Over 500g and it must be sent as a parcel.

*Any item that exceeds the maximum size or weight of Oversize letter mail no longer qualifies as letter mail and may qualify for one of the Parcel Services.
